The Marine Corps League Westchester County Detachment web site was born on 25 November 2002. Efforts by other members to give the detachment a presence on the web was not working well. We thank those members who made the effort as the undertaking is a large one and requires a great deal of time to maintain. The other issue was that it was only a link off of someone else's web site, instead of a site of its own. After a conversation with the detachment Paymaster, Top Cat Computing dedicated itself to this project. Top Cat Computing principle, Steve Topilnycky is also a life member and past commandant of the detachment.
The site is Top Cat Computing's third web site and its largest to date. The site is coded in classic ASP with many customizations to meet the needs of our visitors and members.
In 2005 Detachment Commandant Al Cavello appointed Life Member Steve Topilnycky as the detachments web sergeant (master). In addition to hosting and maintaining the detachment web site, Top Cat Computing also maintains the Young Marines of Westchester web site (http://youngmarines.mclwestchester.org/) and maintains the detachments page of the National Headquarters Marine Corps League web sites (http://www.mcleague.org/)
This site is constantly undergoing changes, and improvements. You can visit the site at http://www.mclwestchester.org/.
